I really enjoy the Beauty and the Beast theme - about how two people save each other. It's the same plot done and re-done...Except this one isn't. It's Beauty and the Beast X 2! You have to read it to understand.
It was funny, it was touching. The fairy godmothers are a riot. I loved how the story had to have taken place in the 1800's, but used modern dialogue, modern terminology, and discussed all sorts of things...sexual...in a very modern way (I know they didn't have some of those words back then). And at times it was quite dark. But Nissa, Benton and Byron are great MCs and you can't help but like them.
Very enjoyable read.

was good enjoyed it, will reread. it is a little predictable, but non the less very well written. I enjoy a good fairy storey
It was an entertaining one time read. So the 2.99 price was a little steep after reading it. Would have been worth more like .99 as I will probably never read it again. It was just cute. I bought this after being blown away by her Stone Guardian book. THAT book I would definitely recommend from this author. It is the first of a new series. Very original and I loved it.
I have to admit, I was a bit disappointed that this book only has ten chapters. But the quality totally out weighs the quantity. It's a book filled with love, passion, magic and quite a bit of trouble; not to mention the huge misunderstanding between the two main characters. Overall this book is totally worth your money.
Twists I didnt expect but amazing story
I was looking for a short read that I could finish on a plane flight, and this book was perfect! The hero and heroine were very likable. It was fun seeing them get to their HEA. Sweet and entertaining!
There are spelling errors, and even though they're all set back in time, it is not a period piece.
That said I love this series! There is spunk and drama, and humor!

The classic story of beauty and the beast. While Nissa and Benton start off with a sort of pleasant friendship that evolves there are so many discordant notes. What is the time period. If they live in a village and Benton chops wood for people would they be using terms like screw you. The reader is never really given a good description of the characters. We know Benton is scarred and Nissa has a pointed face and violet eyes. A fairy godmother comes in to give Benton the chance to be handsome so he can woo Nissa. The local townswomen come to hangout at the tavern when Byron the beautiful comes to town. How would that happen. Where does he stay and does no one wonder why he is just wandering around the village sketching. When I would get interested in the story the modern vernacular would throw me off. And with the heroine having to keep convincing the hero to have sex doesn't ,make him seem sensitive it makes him unbelievably slow. I don't think I will try the other stories in the series. Not a bad story but not one that has me reaching for more.
